13 secondhand items sold

I’m glad that all these things found new lives elsewhere.

  1. Jisulife Fan - I got this for free from the Singapore Fintech Festival last year, but it sounded like a small hairdryer.
  2. ASUS wifi repeater
  3. x3 Juliette Has a Gun samples (assorted fragrances) - I got the discovery set a while back and realised I disliked everything that JHAG has besides the Not a Perfume. Go figure
  4. Black long-sleeved shirt (from my much younger table-waiting days)
  5. x2 LG aircon remotes
  6. Blue sling bag
  7. The Intelligent Investor (I got this secondhand, got bored about 2 chapters in and decided I am definitely a “DCA and forget about it” sort of fella. I have few interests and analysing stocks is not one of them.)
  8. Tote bag
  9. Cargo pants
  10. Celimax ampoule (this broke me out)
  11. x3 Arctic Fox hair dyes (left over from when I used to have bleached hair)
  12. Becca highlighter duo
  13. To Summer 观夏 mini candles (Got an extra set for free when I got some of their fragrances. I like their cedarwood scent, 昆仑煮雪).

(at least) 3 laser-related things done

  1. Got an N3 Laser Safety Licence as my job involves working with devices that use Class 3B lasers.
  2. Used a lot of barcode scanners
  3. Got laser treatment for my face for the first time.

3 different varieties of sunscreen used

All of them are SPF50 and PA++++ (but PPD varies - PA++++ only means “this has a PPD of at least 16”) Ranked in order from “skin-like finish” to “kinda dewy”:

  1. Haru Haru Wonder Black Rice Moisture Airyfit Daily Sunscreen
  2. Numbuzin No. 1 Clear Filter Sunscreen
  3. P.Calm Water Barrier Sunscreen

I found all of them decent for Singapore’s humid weather, but prefer (2) and (3) simply because they have a simple tube packaging instead of a tube + a pump (which feels a bit excessive for something that’s just 50ml).

2 items repaired

  1. I accidentally cracked my 2020 Macbook’s screen but bought the top half assembly from Aliexpress and replaced it. Unfortunately the hinge makes a huge cracking sound whenever I open the laptop, but it’s actually functional now.
    1. How this happened: I had a tiny screw from another Mac that I was working on lying around on my laptop. It was unfortunately pointing upwards, and being very oblivious, I closed my laptop only to hear the most unholy cracking noise known to man.
    2. TL;DR don’t be a fool like me and actually tidy your desk
  2. Kindle 3 a.k.a Kindle Keyboard - I got a battery off AliExpress and fixed my childhood Kindle. I also bought a random broken one off Mercari so that I could bring it back to life by replacing the e-ink screen and the battery. Now I have 2 ancient Kindles.

2 trips made

  1. Met Dominika for the first time in real life :D
  2. Went to Hong Kong for the second time and visited Shenzhen for the first (though it was a day trip and I didn’t do much besides going to Huaqiangbei and visiting the To Summer store)

1 album released in 2025 that I listened all the way through

  1. Fancy That by PinkPantheress

1 career change made

  1. According to my employment contract, I am purportedly a “Software Engineer” now. It’s been quite a journey.
